Pastor Wilson Byrd called and ordained bishop since 1985. Pastor Byrd and wife Linda, pastor of the

Spirit of Praise church in Huntsville, Alabama.  while times have certainly changed, the message of

Jesus Christ has not: The Truth: The Power of the Cross: The Power of the Resurrection, and

The Ascension.

 

Pastor Byrd was born and raised in Madison County, Alabama, growing up in a Godly home, but it

was not until later in life, that his life was personally and dramatically changed by the love of Christ.

He married at a young age to Linda Hunter, and within a few years the family was blessed with two

children.

 

After attending a local college and a career in accounting at a fortune 500 company, a call came

from heaven, and the two of them are founding pastors of the Spirit of Praise Church.

He then began his biblical studies at Lee University.

 

Pastor Byrd is a sports enthusiast in baseball and football. Also a coin collector and antique cars.

He and Linda are blessed with a son and a daughter, one son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
